RÉMY J. DELPLANCHE, O.D.

Welcome! I am an Optometric Physician with a Developmental Focus and a native of the Beaverton/ Hillsboro area.  Upon graduating in 1993 I was awarded “Outstanding Graduate of the Year” from Pacific University College of Optometry, and later in 2016  was awarded the “Doctor of the Year Award” by the Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation.  This award was from a combined effort with the Lions Foundation, Beaverton School District, and the KEX Needy Kids Fund for development of a better school vision screening program by using the Spot School Screening System .

My practice is quite diverse- both in patient demographics as well as in range of  vision services I provide. Specialties include difficult to fit Contact Lenses, Vision Therapy for children with reduced visual function & learning disabilities, diagnosis & treatment of Concussion or head injury following trauma, treatment of Dry Eye Syndrome, and medical management of eye disorders such as Diabetes and Glaucoma.  We are a primary referral source for the Beaverton School District for their most difficult vision cases.

I was raised on a farm here in the Pacific Northwest and a graduate of both Jesuit High School & University of Portland. My wife Sally is currently the Spanish teacher at Valley Catholic Elementary School after having previously taught in our public schools.  Together we have 4 children.  I enjoy the outdoors and especially my involvement with Scouts BSA. For 20 years now I have been an active Scout leader and have worked with countless youth along their Trail to Eagle. My 2 sons have both become Eagle Scouts and I have joined them in most of their campouts, service projects, and adventures.

Our office has been serving Central Beaverton since 1996 and has recently relocating to our new Hall Street address to better serve our growing practice.
